Our role under federal accessibility law

These tools are offered as an Accessibility & Communication Accommodation resource. Depending on context, that framing may include:

  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act — support so people with disabilities can access and participate in covered programs through accessible electronic formats;
  • Section 508 (29 U.S.C. § 794d) — accessible electronic and information technology / digital content workflows;
  • ADA Title II and Title III — effective communication and auxiliary aids and services, including the standards reflected in 28 C.F.R. § 35.160.

In plain language: Amplify’s software and templates act like digital prosthetics — a digital scribe / formatting assistant that helps you organize information you already know, in a format you can read, hear, or print.

Amplify is not a law firm

Amplify Accessibility Green Tech Coalition is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

Our tools are auxiliary aids / administrative formatting support only. They do not create an attorney–client relationship. Using a template, wizard, or voice assistant (including EMILY) does not mean Amplify or any staff member is your lawyer.

What these tools may do (permitted)

  • Provide plain-language explanations of published agency instructions and form labels;
  • Help you clarify what a public rule or checklist says (educational guidance);
  • Verify math when you supply the numbers (totals, simple worksheets);
  • Record your own verbatim statements into form blocks or letters you choose to use;
  • Offer accessibility formatting (large type, structured headings, screen-reader-friendly layout).

What these tools will not do (prohibited)

  • Tell you which legal remedy will win or predict a court outcome;
  • Strategize court claims or defenses for you;
  • Assert statutory claims you did not select yourself;
  • Act as your attorney or negotiate with opposing parties on your behalf.
